Memorial Hospital Auxiliary

Mission Statement
The Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is a fund raising organization. The mission of the Auxiliary is to address hospital improvements for the betterment of our patients, staff and community.

Serenity Terrace
The Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is currently working on a project to update the front of the hospital. There are plans to begin construction spring '08. This will be a place where families, visitors and friends can walk thru or just sit, relax and enjoy beautiful blooming plants, garden furniture and a serene flowing fountain. This will also include creative stamped concrete and an overhead pergola for shade. Ideas and design for this project were created by the generous volunteers of the Auxiliary. Lafayette County Concrete, Chris Andrews Construction and Natures Gift's Greenhouse & Floral will bring our Serenity Terrace to life. An open house will be planned upon its completion.

Birthing Suite Donations
The Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has donated furniture for the 'New Beginnings' Birthing Suites here at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County.

The Auxiliary donated to each suite: a pullout couch, dining set, entertainment center, nightstand, and glider rocker. These items were purchased locally and will enhance the family stay at MHLC.

The addition of the birthing suites was part of the 2003 fund raising campaign. The Memorial Hospital Auxiliary also pledged funds and has named one of the birthing suites.

About the committee
The Auxiliary committee is a fund raising arm of MHLC.
They hold 2 major fundraisers each year:

~Golf Outing- Annually in July.
~Tour of Homes-the first Friday in December.
