'ACCESS CENTER' Dialysis Care

Today millions of Americans are at risk for developing kidney disease; over 80,000 new patients start dialysis each year.

What does hemodialysis do exactly?
Like healthy kidneys, dialysis keeps your body healthy. Dialysis does the following:

  • Removes waste, salt and extra water to prevent them from building up in your blood.
  • Keeps a safe level of certain chemicals in your blood.
  • Helps to control blood pressure.

Hemodialysis can be done right here, close to home at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County.
